DanceSoul Foundation is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Father & Son Back-to-School Bash on August 1, 2026!
More than just a back-to-school event, this community celebration brings together fathers, sons, mentors, families, and local businesses to build connections, inspire confidence, and prepare students for a successful school year.
Last year, we provided free haircuts, school supplies, hygiene products, food, giveaways, and valuable community resources—and we're ready to make an even greater impact this year.

What Is Dance Movement Therapy?
Research Spotlight
Dance therapy, also called dance/movement therapy (DMT), uses movement and dance as a way to support emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration. It is based on the idea that body movement reflects inner emotional states, and that by engaging in intentional, expressive, and often structured movement, individuals can explore feelings, reduce stress, improve well-being, and promote personal growth.

Through guided movement and creative expression, participants are given a safe space to release stress, process emotions, and reconnect with themselves. Dance allows people to express what words sometimes cannot, helping to ease physical tension, build confidence, and support emotional healing.
More than just dance classes, our programs create opportunities for community, restoration, and personal growth. When we move together, we remind one another that healing, strength, and joy can be found through movement.
